Photos first, then a proper visit.
Email photos, sizes or drawings and you will get a rough idea back. Where steel has to suit a building or an opening, we drive down, tape it ourselves, look at the way in and follow up with a free estimate.

Diss sits on the Waveney with Norfolk on one bank and Suffolk on the other. Its farms, estates and builders get steel made in our Norwich workshop, 23 miles up the A140, or repaired on the spot by a welder who drives to them.
Diss, about 23 miles south of our Norwich workshop down the A140.
Fabricators and welders covering Diss
We are a Norwich firm, not a Diss one. The A140 runs nearly door to door, which keeps visits and deliveries simple.
Arable land surrounds the town, and much of the work follows from that. Grain trailers crack, a store needs a new column or a run of cladding rails, a yard wants steel gates wide enough for a combine. On the Vinces Road and Sawmills Road estates, light industrial units ask for mezzanine floors, platforms, machine frames and welded repairs to plant.
The county line cuts through the middle of our Diss round and we take no notice of it. Roydon, Scole and Harleston are in Norfolk, Eye and Botesdale are in Mid Suffolk, and the estimate, the steel and the welder are identical on either bank. Builders in all of them order RSJs, lintels and goalpost frames, fabricated to the engineer's drawings.
Mobile welding in and around Diss
From enquiry to fitted in Diss
At 23 miles each way, a Diss job is planned so that every run down the A140 counts.

The job is cut, drilled and welded at the workshop, using your drawings or your engineer's. Pieces are made as large as the lorry and your gateway allow, leaving less to join on site. Primer is standard and galvanising can be arranged.
A single delivery brings everything, with a HIAB for the heavy lengths. Our crew lifts, bolts, plumbs and levels the steel, works in with your builder or farm staff, and tidies up before heading home.
What we do
Workshop side: structural steel for barns, units and extensions, steel staircases and balustrades, architectural metalwork, and metal gates and railings for farm entrances. Site side: steel erection, and machinery installation for the small factories on the estates.
A fair share of Diss work is repair, which means mobile welding. The van carries MIG and stick sets and its own generator, so a trailer in a gateway or a gate post on a verge poses no difficulty. For a breakdown out of hours, ring 07495 409006.
Structural steel fabrication in DissAsked on both sides of the border
Yes. Eye, Botesdale and the Mid Suffolk villages get the same service as Diss, Roydon and Scole. Ours is a Norfolk workshop, but a good half of this patch lies in Suffolk and all of it is covered.
Yes. Give us the clear opening and we make the leaves, posts, hinges and latch in steel, galvanised if you wish, then hang them. Concrete, brickwork and automation kit belong to your own contractors, though the frame can be left automation-ready.
That turns on where the vans are that day. Ring 07495 409006 with what has broken, what it is made of and where you are, and a realistic time comes back.
