How a Norwich project runs
Start by sending what you have. An architect's drawing pack, a designer's visual, or photos of the space with rough sizes will all do. Say whether the piece lives indoors or outside, which material you have in mind and the look you are after. Primer, paint, galvanising and powder coating can be arranged.
You get a free estimate, and the price is agreed before any work begins. Where steel has to meet existing walls, floors or openings we visit and measure first, because old Norwich buildings are rarely square. After that we give you a realistic date, based on the design, the material and the finish.

No architect involved
Not every job comes with a drawing pack. A cafe owner with an idea for a counter, or a homeowner in Taverham who has seen a balcony they like, can send a photo and some sizes. We talk about section sizes, how it fixes to the building, how it gets carried in and which finish will last, then help you develop a design that can be made.
What we cannot do is certify a structure. If Building Control wants calculations for your balcony, canopy or stair, they come from your structural engineer or designer and we fabricate to them.

We can make it, but the consent is yours to arrange. Listed building consent or conservation area approval comes from your side, usually through your architect. Once that is in place we make the piece to the approved details.
Yes. Give us the drawings and your handover date as early as you can, and we will say plainly what can be made and finished in time. Being in the city helps, because site checks and second visits do not cost a day of travel.
Yes. We fabricate in stainless as well as mild steel, and TIG weld where a joint needs to be fine and neat. Put the grade and the surface finish on the drawing, brushed or polished. For aluminium, ask and we will tell you what we can do.
Usually, with planning. We look at doors, stairs and turns when we measure, and make large items in sections that bolt together inside. It is one reason we like to see the site first.
Yes, Juliet and walk-on. A walk-on balcony normally needs supporting beams, posts or brackets, and your engineer decides those. We can fabricate that structural steel along with the balustrade and the frame you see.
